Artillery Assets

Just wanting to confirm I am reading the rule correctly.

My 1944 Russian army is allowed to purchase up to 6 HE assets at 10 points each.  Am I right in reading on p.16 that this limit refers to the limit per off-table battery I purchase?  So if I purchase 2 x 152mm Heavy Guns, I can purchase a total of 12 HE assets (i.e. 6 each)?
