Local force VC

What figures are best suited for local force VC (ie not uniformed and wearing straw hats rather than pith helmets or bush hats) who would perhaps have been equipped with older equipment such as rifles, rather than AK 47s?  I presume some of the Indo-China figures would suit.

Indo China figures, codes VM8 & 9 should do.
