Yes......next question.
(I don't always understand how the cards work, in relation to the game....but I do read them, chum. )

Black = useless
White = you can walk forwards
Green = drilled troops can do stuff, formed troops do some stuff
Yellow = most troops can do something like move twice, but don't expect the tribal troops to do anything special.
Red = you would be surprised what you can't do.

Black rare, white and green common, yellow rare, red = hen's teeth.
Also,
If you want a group of units to move, you need the colour needed, plus a green or better as a second card.

After that, I would need specific examples.

Yep, I open the link and read the AAR (To be honest I always wonder how many people actually open and read my AAR's too). The colour card explanation will certainly help for reading future AAR's. Not my sort of game but I do like the look of MeG.

I rarely opn the links in yours, or others Blogs, to be honest Will.

I'll typically open and have a look through the pics, maybe read a few bits if the action looks interesting. In truth, I tend to prefer historical/themed matchups over tournament-style ones, but still interesting to look through and see what's happening. Now I know what the cards do some of it may make more sense! I'd rarely click the links in the reports themselves (the youtube clips, etc), unless it was maybe to a linked report or unit showcase post.

Does blogspot have any sort of stats section for you? Wordpress is quite handy in that it gives you a breakdown of how many people have viewed each post and when and from where (forum, search, etc). I find battle reports tend to do fairly well. The vast majority of those who view the post on the forum won't click the link to view the blog post, but a handful do, and continue to in drips and drabs over time. The only annoying thing is the stats lump together those who just land on the home page and scroll through the posts in order, since it presents them as a continuous stream, so hard to know how many of those are just looking at the recent post, or scrolling through past ones too.

I mostly do my own reports just for my own enjoyment, though obviously if a few other people enjoy reading them all the better, but it's interesting (and sometimes surprising) to see which ones do well and where the interest levels are. My most popular post so far for 2020 was a long ramble about basing that I thought would be of little interest beyond a way of organising my own thinking, but the next few most popular posts after that are all battle reports.
