Any idea what the turnaround is on orders?

No rush, just curious as to how long these things are taking at the moment.

Generally we're running at about 7-10 days at the moment.  A few orders are taking a bit longer as we're getting low on resin, modelling sand and decal stocks but we're replenishing as fast as we can.

There may be some delays in communication over the next week or so though as we got the keys to our new house on Monday, so I've got a load of work to do over there before we can move in.  I'm still keeping an eye on the emails but I might not be able to reply straightaway.

That's a very special moment getting the keys to your first house.  Perhaps you should take a week or so off to get sorted.

It was, it's been a long wait to get on the ladder so it's quite exciting.  We're not doing too bad on the renovations so I don't think we'll need to shut down for a week, maybe just a day or two here and there.  It's tricky these days with all of the staff now, as we need to make sure they've got stuff to do each shift.  Which sounds weird as more staff should mean a shared workload!

I think M'lady might be a bit impatient and would rather ignore some of the jobs and just get moved in!

A few of the rooms need redecorating though so I'm on with that at the moment.  New carpets and Ikea delivery are coming next week so that'll keep me busy for a few days.

We're discovering that the previous owners have 'bodged' quite a lot of the work they've done, so as we move things about we keep finding more little jobs that need to be done.  As an example, every single stair on the staircase has got a 20mm slab of plywood glued, screwed and sealed onto the back board, shortening the depth of each stair tread.  We think they've done it to remove the lip/overhang of each tread and make it easier to fit the carpets themselves?

No idea on the stair carpets, Leon....... but each time we've moved, we've always found bodged jobs....I think that's pretty common.

I think we're ALL really pleased for you, regarding the new home !  :)

:D

Something like that!  Today we discovered that they've taken two spurs from one kitchen plug socket and added two new double sockets, but then hidden both new sockets behind the cupboards where they can't be accessed.  And then another spur + socket on the other side which they've also blocked completely with a cupboard unit.  It's crackers.

The stairs are fixed now though, all of the weird back boards have come off and opened up the treads to the correct depth again.  Time to put my electrician hat on next...
