Those are some fine looking figures... 

Aren't they just! They paint up very nicely - I'm pleased and impressed with these. Which is a good job as I have a big mountain of them!

So this would mean paint them all the same but provide different flags (mon?).

Possibly - there does seem to be a some preferences over armour colour - I think the Il clan favoured Red armour. Deciding on sashimono designs feels the next big step. And just how many to add to a unit too.

Still need to work out what colours / clan to go with for banners. I'm also not sure when the horse hair banners were used. At the minute I am using them at the unit level.

Sohei, Sinobi and Samurai with yari

The Samurai are taking a lot more painting - trying to get some of the colour onto the armour, while keeping a fairly coherent look

More progress today. A few more units nearly painted, and some test basing of the ones painted earlier.

This force is just enough for an Irregular Wars force - although as it uses several of the 1 stand unit choices I'm not sure it would be that good a force!

Got all of these stuck onto bases this evening - no photos as I was working in the conservatory and its now cold and dark in there!

I'm really liking the big cannons, very nice models. I feel that I will be needing more Ashigaru Teppo and lots more of the smaller sashimono banners.

It was both chaotic and fun!! My dwarves were heavily outnumbered. But would their quality pull through???

Got the first batch based up - still need some flock etc, but having a think about what I want to do.

Still need to work out what to do with the banners too.

Got the next batch base coated this afternoon.
