I fancy a beached ship or two as part of a Viking camp. Obviously smallish (guessing about 5"), and not too expensive. Anyone party to secret information (and ready to violate the secrecy)?

What about these 6mm ones from H&R - or are they too small?

In case anyone else is interested in a few, I think these look just about right: https://hracky.nuff.cz/hracka/smer-model-lod-drakkar-oseberg-1180-stavebnice-lode/

I hope you can find a translator to help with the website, mind you....

In my Viking days (sigh!) I found a Heller in 1/180 scale   "Drakktar Oseberg"  = dragon ship was close enough for backdrop scenery.

The moulds may now be with SMER or Mister Craft - currently still around £8 on ebay.

I think they are 28mm.(1/60 ?)  Would dwarf a 10mm game.  The 1/180 plastic from SMER is currently on ebay -  £10 including postage.

The price from the Czechs is 4. 17, however.   :D

I'll print you one if you like, I fancy doing a Drakkar - it'll look like this, about 5" long, or I can rescale it. one or two bits to the hull, other bits & bobs to add shields, oars (deployed for rowing, I'm afraid), etc.

"It'll look like this", you say - is there a picture?

Somewhat bigger than you asked for, to be fair.

That's one snazzy piece of Viking kit, Wulf, I'm impressed!

Nothing to do with me so far, I just downloaded someone else's work. I can print it in around 8-10 hours though...

(...once I finish printing some railway stuff for someone else...)
