With all this lovely 1940 stuff appearing of late it would be good to see some home guard for the hypothetical Sealion games.
What do others think?

Life is too important to be taken seriously.

In 10mm, how would Home Guard look different from generic early war British Infantry? Or late WWI British Infantry if you want them in the older style webbing and uniforms?

True - they wouldn't...unless you sculpted them like this:

Maybe some armed with pitchforks and  carving knives tied to broom handles would look quite good to

Also maybe some in half dress half business suit with webbing and helmet etc
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Add me to the interested list!
Plenty of scope for VBCW here for me :D

Hurrah

I'm for it.

Some in civvies and arm bands (will suit all sorts) and rifles.
Some in Battledress Denims and 39 pattern webbing (mainly leather with much smaller ammo pouches) or no webbing at all (haversack and gas mask bag)

A very British Civil War is proving popular so some of the vehicles (Vickers medium mk II, Carden Lloyd carriers, beverettes and bison, OX or armadillo "mobile pillboxes") will fit both very well. ;)

Doug

For me certainly some Home Gaurd figures as per Dads Army. Though there are a few other figures that should be added to the surgested selection. Firstly mounted Gentry with shot guns, farmers and  farm hands with shot guns. From what my Grandfarther told me that initialy most of his unit were armed with shot guns which they owned and then later on they got issued with rifles. Also a figure throwing a petrol bomb!

snafu

I must admit that this is something Im interested in myself, the figures also have a use for the VBCW guys. Il definately be having a go at some of these in the future. not too distant I hope   ;)
