The Centurion in snow photo could easily be in the UK - must be cold in a tank in the snow. Must be cold living outside in the snow - at least the tank will be mainly dry and out of the wind.

Those bomb disposal photos really are quite worrying! If you can't hear it ticking does that mean
A ) there isn't a time fuse
B ) there is a time fuse, but it uses a chemical mechanism
C ) the time fuse has stopped - because its broken, or because its about to explode

And if you can hear it ticking - how does that help? Other than get everyone to evacuate?

Leopard 2A7, at the end of 2020 Hungary ordered 44 of this latest version of the Leopard 2. These are due for delivery this year at some point and will be Leopard 2A7HU.

Two things. Firstly, what is that colour scheme? Looks to have been picked from the Dulux Restful Pastels range. Secondly, I know they're rear view mirrors, but they do look like defibrillator pads.

Edit: I found the person who designed the paint scheme

Is it even a paint scheme, looks like a cloth overlay / over coat kind of thing?

Strange, isn't it? I think you could be right - the gun barrel is obviously different.

I can't figure out what coating they applied to the armour :-\ . It looks very strange...

pierre the shy

Its not a painted coating its a "mobile camoflauge system". basically a removeable blanket that cuts down the infra red and thermal image emissions of the vehicle to make it much harder to detect by opposing forces.

Interesting. You're better with Google than I am.

It does mean I was right about the designer.

One would also note that this A7V is a lot better than the original.  :D

The EMBT (Enhanced Main Battle Tank) first concept vehicle built by German company KMW (Krauss-Maffei Wegmann) and French company NEXTER Defense Systems as KNDS and shown at Eurosatory 2022. Although it has a traditional four man crew only two are in the turret.

Is it just me or is that a very busy turret?
