Okay, so you're all ready for karaoke evening at Ye Olde Mullet and Merkin... 

...but how's the figure painting going?!

Next batch is three more Convenant Pike and Musket units

Started basing up the first 3 Covenanter foot regiments - The General of Artillery's Regt, Colonel John Innes' Regt and Colonel Alexander Stewart's Regt.

These will be finished over the next few days when I have time to do them.

The plan is (yes I do have a plan for these guys ) to do the 3 Covenanter regiments Paul is now doing, then some Gordon Horse, a couple of stands of Highlanders and finally some command stands and we're off to Alford for the first of hopefully many Scots battles......intertwined with some further larger confrontations on Englsih soil...Paul is working on Croperdy Bridge currently.

The next 3 Covenanter foot regiments are on my painting rods, waiting for the weather to warm up enough to be undercoated

Currently 10C (50F), damp and cloudy

Got to a balmy 12C (54F) and there was a gap in the showers

Helmets and armour base coated and dry brushed

The one buff coat base coated and dry brushed

Hodden grey, lots of hodden grey base coated

Officers jackets base coated in not grey

Just to be different one of the next regiments will be all in red....the 1650 era Kings lifeguard of foote which fought at Dunbar and Worcester.

I don't mind the hodden units they paint up pretty fast

As will an all red unit, its the variety that takes the time

Officers' jackets dry brushed in not grey

Hodden grey dry brushed

Officers' trousers painted various browns
You'd be worried as well if you were commanding this lot

Bonnets, hats & boots base coated and dry brushed
