The first batch is still on the left of the sheet. But yes there are a fair few bases.

2018 Painting Competition - Runner-Up!

fred.

Tidied up the paint on the bases, added a sand dry brush, then flocked.

The way they are laid out here, I feel I need 3 more bases of troops, to give nice lines of 5!

Wake up man!!

Yeah, they were bare metal at 5pm when I came home from work...   :^o

Its been one of these projects I've put off the ages, and has only taken 3-4 hours over the last few days to turn around. And all the work has been easy.

They do look very impressive, and much better than having regimented lines.

Thanks chaps

Yes the variation in the lines looks a lot better. And most of the GW figures are still in pairs, I only snipped one pair apart per base. But just by putting the figure bases in a bit of jaunty line it looks much better.

2017 Paint-Off - Winner!

fred.

Thanks chaps - got these guys on the table on Friday night (well some of them...)

Played an Undead vs Empire game, the photos are fairly late game

The left flank

Off the photo to the left are the cannon, which had done good work shooting various undead creatures down, the wolves had just been summoned in, but are in a position to be attacked by the flanking cavalry. In the middle near the wood has been a big punch up. But the undead are starting to run out of units to throw in. On the right the knights are about to ride down the zombies

The right flank

On this flank the boney undead generally stayed put. They did advance a couple of columns of spearmen out past the village, but these have all been dealt with. The shooters on the back line, while not appearing to be not very effective did manage to chip off a number of my units, particularly on the far right. Newly rebased handgunners defending the field.
