Funny thing, i painted the truck, civilians and the sacrifice especially for the comp, trying different techniques.

The russian infantry is just my normal wargames standard, painted to fit in with the rest of my army.

The russians got more votes than the others combined   ;D

I finished my zouaves! I based the colour schemes on a perry miniatures leaflet:



I rushed these a bit just to keep going forward. They are just wargames standard, but will look nice on the table!

Looking at the pictures, i wonder if it might be worth highlighting the red. Looks a bit dark in the pictures.

Hmmm... The main thing, Peter.....
Is if you're happy with what you've got (in proper light)...I'd leave it at that.

The first few photos I had published in WD and the Citadel journals......I'd painted the figures how I wanted them look.....Then I got the '1 hour developers' to mess about with the colour balance.
Those would be the prints I'd send up to GW, 'cos they had a lot more 'punch'.

Nowadays I can do it myself, on the PC ,with the snaps I send to Leon. (Which are never completely in focus...' cos I can't be bothered to put the camera on a tripod.)

I guess i'll just leave them on the tray and give them a quick highlight when i working with red on a batch of miniatures. They can be used in the meantime.

My gaming buddy says leave it like that, but it bugs me a bit that it's so dark.

Yup, as i mentioned a few posts back, i'm getting started on my perry miniatures artillery!



Front to back:
royal horse artillery with 9 pdr
hanoverian field artillery with 6pdr
french line horse artillery with 9pdr
french imperial guard artillery with 12 pdr
two french line artillery one with 6pdr, one with howitzer

Good show! What mix of scales are you painting? I seem to be going 28-10-28 for this year. Probably back to 10 after these to get going on the punic wars!

Got the guns done, on to the crew... (still some white spots, varnish still drying)







i'm keeping the painted guns and some finished bases next to the crew to keep them motivated  ;D ;D ;D
