To post direct, you can resize your pics using Paint easily enough before you bung them on your pic-hosting site...there's a way to do it in-post as well, but I can't remember how to do that [but don't worry, someone'll be along soon with that one, I'm sure  ]

Napoleonics are they based up to Polemos or another ruleset?

Thanks Nik!  Fortunately someone with an innate understanding of Macs just set up something complicated to do just that. If only my blasted PC were hooked up to the internet! Hopefully there are some snaps attached this time...

Nosher - yes, they are based on 60mm squares, with Polemos in mind, and also compatible with Grande Armee. I can honestly say that not a single one has heard a die rolled in anger. I must have about fifty infantry bases and dozens of cavalry bases, and there are still 2,000 Austrians waiting in the depots! As well as Russians, Saxons, Poles *voice fades out still listing*

Grand Armee - I know these figures haven't heard a shot (dice roll) fired in anger, but interested to hear your thoughts on GA? Never that keen on Polemos as much as I might like Baccus Minis.

Well, before I ditched the 60 x 30 mm bases a short while back I played a number of games with Polemos and GA. (All Baccus back then, but I switched to Adler). Polemos is very limited, but makes for an enjoyable game now and again. GA as you may know is a complete departure, much more depth and complexity, attempts to interact skirmishers better without recourse to additional bases of them, a slightly more thoughtful approach to command, grading troops etc etc, and a simple 'fistful of dice' combat system. Admittedly it does generate a certain amount of book-keeping even with labels on the bases. In my opinion probably the superior of the two, and a very credible effort at creating a grand-tactic brigade-level game that balances between a certain level of complexity/detail and a workable gaming experience. That's my short answer anyway! I guess I'm not qualified to pass too much judgement on the hard work of others. In summary - I enjoy both for different reasons, simplicity lies one way, more detail t'other; and I wouldn't say I'm wholly satisfied with either.  But then who can hold their hand up and claim to have found the perfect 6mm Napoleonic rules! Abstraction vs playability vs reality vs detail = an endless balancing act!

My only comment is related to the paper flags: a quick run of a brush edge in black [or a Sharpie] along the edges works wonders - just to tidy up the white 'join'...

Love the figures, a realy good job.  On Nik's comment on the flag,s I paint the edges in the matching colour to that shown on the flag, it' takes a little more time but well worth it in th elong run.

Checked out some of the other 10mm figures on your site, WW2 is not my area but some cracking paint jobs and some cracking bases.

Good job. Nik and Andy are right. Your style of painting looks good but I will add a shadding to faces. As I can see you left black eyes on faces, I my opinion the contrast is to big ... but this is only my opinion

Thanks for kind comments, my apologies I had not picked up on them sooner! I have been busily engaged with 'real life stuff' (unfortunately). 

Andy - in fact this is something I do with commissioned miniatures. At a stretch to my own, mostly Napoleonics, and as you say it is worth it. Thanks for your compliments!

Pawel - I actually completely agree about the contrast around the eyes. I'm honest enough to say that I am a bit lazy with a lot of my minis  but there have been occasions - notably few - when I have softened the flesh tones around the faces. So not to worry, your opinion is entirely appreciated

Apologies for not keeping this more regularly updated, just, real life you know!    I have however updated my blog with some new photos of my 10mm AWI stuff and will pop more on there over the next week or two now that I'm back into the swing of things. I'' try to get plenty of them based as well, as that's where I tend to get a bit lazy.  So spur me on! Preferably by not encouraging the purchase of more...
