Hullo,
Maybe you need to do some therapeutic browsing at Orc's Nest on Earlham Street while in the area to calm your nerves..? For you daughter Gosh! Comics is also nearby, on 1 Berwick Street.
Cheers,
Aksu (used to work in Soho... in a design studio, not one of the other places... honest!)

Ah! Happy days in the 1980s when my Saturdays comprised a trip to "town" to troll around the comic shops.  There were about 5 on my route, including one stuck in a back alley at the top of Tottenham Court Road which had the best back issues. IIRC Virgin used to have a big comic department. I mean the comics there were HUGE!

I was young, massively overpaid and spent a lot of time reading! Ah! How times have changed.  :(

Enjoy, Lemmey.

There used to be a nice game shop on one of the roads leading directly away from the museum front. Games, etc possibly  :-\

(Posh) chess sets and trading cards on the ground floor, board and role-playing games down in the basement...

Have fun!

Games etc has been gone a few years now, which is a pity as I did like it more than Orc's Nest. Gosh is pretty much opposite the British Museum though.

I also remember going up to TCR during the late 70s/early 80s.  Visiting a board wargame shop (The Games Centre?) in Hanway St at the back of TCR then onto Forbidden Planet in Denmark Place for my SciFi hit and finally onto Foyles for military books.  All within around 200yds of the station.

Happy days. :)
