5 things I need to do in 2017

with just 45 minutes to go to midnight ..... Here are mine - feel free to list yours and perhaps look back later in the year to see progress (if any :) )

1. Complete the last bits of my Kallistra ACW (Confederates ... 4 bases cavalry, 2 bases inf, 4 bases artillery. Union 4 bases artillery)

2. Start and complete two Pendraken army packs (Napoleonic French 1809 and Austrian)

3. Try and lose some of my 'loo brush' type trees and replace with clump foliage type.

4. Push on with my hex based ACW rules and get a beta version available for download.

5. Liberate 2 full shelves worth of space by selling / charity / re-organisation.

1. Paint faster than I acquire new stuff

2. Acquire money faster than I spend it

3. Spend more time painting than planning to paint

4. Plan storage options as well as purchases

5. Purchase what I fancy and to heck with the rest of it! :)

1. Replay Waterloo in France (still no Prussians), play Sedan and Rezonville 1870
2. Complete the Russian army at Borodino and the 1806-09 Saxon army, continue the painting of the 1806 and 1813-15 Prussian armies
3. Complete the 1859 Austrian and Italian armies, paint the 1866 Saxon army
4. Ask my artist to finish the battle maps of the ACW project (18 maps to be added by June)
5. Ask my artist to paint the battle maps of Borodino and Eylau during the second part of the Year.

1 - Paint more of my figures.
2 - Sell off stuff I know will never see the light of day.
3 - Creat more storage space for my books, figures etc.
4 - Redecorate house to help achieve 3 above (which will achieve enough brownie points with SWMBO).
5 - Finish my Imagi-Nation forces for Ancients and Black Powder periods.

1)   Paint up the 1880s wild west stuff, including the town of Dead Man's Knees.
2)   Write rules for above.
3)   Paint reinforcements for SYW Prussians and Austrians.
4)   Paint Ch'in and Han armies.
5)   Conquest of Mexico!!!!!!!!!

1) Don't start any new projects
2) Don't join any other Forums / Internet Groups / look at Magazines, etc., all to help point 1
3) Choose a couple of current projects that can be realistically 'completed' and work away on them
4) Sell off a load of hobby stuff that I reckon is surplus to requirements
5) I'm in contact with enough players / groups / clubs now to attempt to get in a game at least every other week, so try for that.

Lister: "Oh God, aliens... Your explanation for anything slightly peculiar is aliens, isn't it?

Rimmer: "Well, we didn't use it all, Lister. Who did?"

Lister: "Rimmer, aliens used our bog roll?"

Happy New Year Norm.

1. Complete my Square Bashing Austrians and Russians.

2. Put a lot of work into my 28mm TtS Italian Wars (also good for Impetus.

3. Produce two Saga forces - Anglo-Saxon and Viking - mainly 28mm plastic.

4. Tidy my war-games room so that troops, rules and scenic material are easy to lay hands on quickly.

5. Get half a dozen extra units painted up for Honours of War and Bloody Big Battles (FPW and ACW).

I could go on, but other stuff will need to wait so that I can do this stuff and actually get a game in.

1. Reduce my lead knoll (no longer have a lead mountain).
2. Start collecting 10mm scale buildings & scenery.
3. Socially speaking, seek to widen my wargaming horizons.
4. Visit at least one wargaming show.

Struggling for a fifth.  :-\

I suppose I could ask FSN if he'll be needing his handcuffs over the next few weeks ...
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

Bodvoc

1: complete my 15mm Carthaginian army for Impetus (nearly there, 22 units done, 5 to go).
2: get going on our club 10mm ACW project, using Pendraken figures of course, so far I have only sorted out all the figures into unit sized groups.
3: complete my 6mm Trojan War project to at least Basic Impetus sized armies, Trojans about half done so far.
4: complete more 15mm Medieval and fantasy figures for Lion/Dragon Rampant.
5: man ' side' projects to add to such as Deadzone, 15mm Baroque, 28mm Gauls for Impetus, Wood Elves for Warband, etc....
And then of cour e there will be new temptations...
'If I throw a six I'll do my happy dance'!

1. Finish another "Bazaine" campaign - probably Algeria 1830s
2. Get a regular slot at the Stroud games shop so I can show the punters that there is more to life than 40K/WH/Magic the Gathering
3. Get rid of unwanted lead
4. Sort out the Shed loft
5. Do a blog entry per month

1. Finish my First Crusade project and get them on the table, I'm hoping for Saturday week :!!
2. Use my 1917 project to mark the centennial of a number of battles including the Gazza battles, I need to get on with the scenarios
3. Run the Solomons naval campaign again to mark the 75th Anniversary of the battles around Guadalcanal, playing rather than umpiring this time
4a. Paint my remaining Tumbling Dice age of sail ships and test my revised rules
4b. Paint Pierre the Shy's 1914 extra extra reinforcements  ;)
5a. Finish the research for my next project :-$
5b. Play test and decide on my next 10mm project, current front runners are the Sudan or ECW  :-\

Seriously, i have decided to stay low on the purchases for a while, i have too much unpainted stuff lying about, and i'm going to try to reduce the lead mountain to a small hillock. Felt good to finish those uruk hai a couple of days ago, with them having been unpainted in their box for years now. Will try to keep up the pace! (and i don't say this every year so i must mean it  ;D  )

I'll be getting the great war tank expansion, because i already said i ould, and after that i'll try to keep it to bases, paints and 'filler'. Filler being those bits that are still missing for the armies that i'll be painting. For example, i'm paintng uruk hai now, only thing i need for them is a siege machine, so if i come across one i'll get it. Really keen on getting stuff finished!
