Enjoyed the BatRep, Fred.
Curious about a couple things:
The church building in the last pic appears to be purposely tipped at 30 degrees - don't know many wargaming conventions - is that signifying something?
Also - there is a flag in the human line that appears to be the Commonwealth of England and the Tullys (fish) - is  there a story there?

From what i understood of it, they can do one action that fits their type of unit. So regular infantry can shoot for example..

Thanks. It's moving the buildings to fit the troops in. We normally play that the area is the terrain  so individual buildings or trees can be moved. Or the church wants to be in Pisa...

As far as I recall these flags are historical 15C European ones, so more likely they are the inspiration for the ones you recognise. They were chosen for their colours and design.

Yes, that's the way it works.  Unlike Lion Rampant, units' activation roles depend on their leader, not the action type so the free actions bring back a bit of flavor for units.

Thanks chaps. There are a couple of buildings aren't there! But the foot print of most of them is fairly small.

I've done a fair bit of reading of TMWWBKs in the last couple of days and like the look of it. My only concern is over fragility of units as most take 1 wound per hit compared to DR where it's always 2 or more hits to cause a wound. But I suppose this is easy to change if needed.

I'm thinking of using 30mm square bases (or maybe 40mm squares). For 30mm squares use 4 infantry or 2 cavalry. And units would have the number of trooos for the 28mm game i.e. 12 European infantry, or 8 cavalry, so 3 or 4 bases respectively. If I went with 40mm bases the base count would stay the same, but the figure count would go up - which means more stuff to paint.

Sci Fi Buildings

Got these finished off today

Then as I was tidying them away spotted one that had escaped the photo-shoot, at least it was painted.

I'm pleased with how these have turned out, with a fairly limited colour palette. Ready for some city fights now!

For my benefit the colours used were
Army Painter Desert Yellow, main colour
Green Grey for flat roofs and other light grey areas
Neutral Gray for vents and fans
Medium Sea Grey for metal shutters
Dark Prussian Blue for domes

Nicely done Forbes.
Can I ask a favour? What size are Epic objectives meant to be?

I don't think it is defined. We tend to use 25mm to 40mm round bases for them.
