Broken barrels on 7.62 SLR/FN

The barrel on the Falklands range SLR/FN is sculpted with a very fine piece of wire. This is quite a fragile item when cast.  I have had a few broken in postage or indeed in play.

One option is to remove the broken barrel - if not already disappeared - and carve file a new short barrel out of the fore handguard

If the big 7.62 mag gets slimmed down, you are left with a passable Heckler & Koch MP5 or indeed the HK53.

The Kockler was a favourite in the 1980s with SAS and special forces groups.   One sand coloured beret and the figure is back in play.
