Trying to get an eye test with Covid restrictions is like getting blood out of a stone! I imagine they are in a similar position to dentists and only seeing about 5% of patients. Our neighbour has macular degeneration and is not a priority for an eye test, despite it having gotten worse under lockdown!

My daughter has just been for an eye test, and picked up new specs today. She had no trouble getting an appointment with spec savers. She was wanting new glasses before going back to college as she felt her prescription had changed, so nothing too urgent.

Yep, we keep getting letter from Boots Opticians about booking our appointments. Tried 'phoning but says book online, which you can't do unless you tick the diabetic box!!! Confused? We sure as hell are. We might try some other opticians as it's farcical.

I have my rescheduled annual appointment next week.  I prefer the independents as they have to be good to keep ahead of the big companies.

I've always found Specsavers very good, Steve.

When I went in a few weeks ago to have one of the arms on my specs 'cannibalized', they were very efficient.
Fair do's.....They would only have one customer in the shop at a time....But I can't imagine a shop that size in Cardigan ever having more than two people in for tests, at a time.

The young lass wore a 'full set' of PPI, and her 'apron' was to be replaced after every customer.
Things may have changed by now regarding the number of folk allowed in at one time, so they could even be back to 'almost normal'.

Give 'em a try, Matey.

Cheers - Phil :)

Thanks Phil, we're going to try some others, but near us all of the independents have closed :(.

Talking of trenches...
Two hours in the park with my youngest daughter and her mates from school.
Another 2.4m trench dug today, external this time, in the rain. One half full of rubble and broken roof tiles, the other side was clay!
Bath.
Double bed frame built for my eldest daughter.
And a new tool used in my Dremmel, side cut drill bit to cut the holes for electrics in our new plaster board in the kitchen, only two went wrong.

Tired now, but that was a GOOD day...  :D
Painting, not done any since last week.

That's a busy old day to say the least Will. What's the trench for if I may ask?

Techno

Drain ? :-\

I'm pretty sure Will told me about a 'blocked' area for 'something' coming out of the kitchen or utility room (?), a while ago.

Cheers - Phil

Upstairs toilet has been causing us problems with the saniflow for years (now on my 3rd), its dorectly above the kitchen, so soils pipe going in while we gut the kitchen.
