4.3m x 40cm x 22cm trench dug across the kitchen today.

I know lockdown has tested a lot of relationships, Will, but isn't this a bit extreme?

Assembled some more trench sections and based up a couple of pillboxes that I scratch built around 10 years ago.

Steve J

Filler and grit added to the trench and pillbox bases, with the latter looking much better based than free standing.

I should be basing the Sarmatians today; maybe a start on the Dacians.

I'll be carrying on working on a somewhat 'odd' model that Leon asked me if I'd like to make.
It is 'fantasy'.....But not as we know it. ;)

There's also all the normal 'stuff' to get on with. ;D ;D

Cheers - Phil :)

Recent eye-test? Don't neglect them, really!

Nothing wrong with my eyesight !

Though I probably shouldn't have played air guitar with an air pick using a brand new No10 Swan Morton blade.

Whoops !

Trying to get an eye test with Covid restrictions is like getting blood out of a stone! I imagine they are in a similar position to dentists and only seeing about 5% of patients. Our neighbour has macular degeneration and is not a priority for an eye test, despite it having gotten worse under lockdown!

Techno

Eh ?

Good grief !

That doesn't sound good, Steve......NOT a priority ?

Very strange times....Sigh. =)

Cheers - Phil (I won't go off on one......I'll just start a blo**y row.....and I'm supposed to stop those.....Hey-Ho.)

My daughter has just been for an eye test, and picked up new specs today. She had no trouble getting an appointment with spec savers. She was wanting new glasses before going back to college as she felt her prescription had changed, so nothing too urgent.

Yep, we keep getting letter from Boots Opticians about booking our appointments. Tried 'phoning but says book online, which you can't do unless you tick the diabetic box!!! Confused? We sure as hell are. We might try some other opticians as it's farcical.

I have my rescheduled annual appointment next week.  I prefer the independents as they have to be good to keep ahead of the big companies.
