I'm a big fan of the Warmaster rules and I've started to add an army of Dwarfs to my 10mm fantasy collection. Let me know what you think and any tips would be appreciated. More to come soon!

First up a unit of warriors

Next, the guys who never miss arm day but always grab a beer (or 20) after, the Slayers

Finally, a unit of Thunders

Very nicely done, CK.  :)

Only tip I'd give is perhaps to be a little bolder with the highlights. (?)
Don't listen to me, though. Wait for someone who paints more than one figure every couple of years.  X_X

They are rather good, I like the muted realistic tones. 8)

Cracking - they look excellent :)

If you like the muted look, then they're spot on, if you prefer "brash and bold" in your fantasy I might do as Phil suggests and use a slightly brighter colour to make them pop. But I like them as is :D

They're really good - well done.   I regularly play Warmaster and these
units do look excellent.   I like the linked basing.

I would echo the earlier comments about adding a lighter colour as
a highlight - I think you will be surprised how effective this is.

The only other suggestion I would make is to perhaps spend time on
the flags as these will be a real focus point.  I would pick a theme
(classic GW Dwarf, Celtic, Lord of the Rings or Norse for example) and
print a few designs off the net for ideas or to use as a base to paint up.

Just a thought.

I agree about the flags, they do look bit plain. I've got an old Dwarf codex knocking about, I'll see what inspiration I can draw from there.

They do look like mountains though - maybe "the same, but more striking"? If that's doable :D

Also, get me a coffee and danish and sweep the floor whilst you're doing it. Thanks!

Part of the problem is I painted the banners green, when I should have gone for a more contrasting color like red or black. We'll the great thing about 10mm and warmaster is that there is always another unit to paint up ;)
