Hi

Has anybody had any experience of this family of rules?

Cheers

I bought the Napoleonic version. Found it very difficult follow and did not like the basing illustrated. Have never played them.

Hi Chad

Thanks for the reply. I saw them and was wondering why, apart from the normal fanboy stuff, there wasn't more info. Still, with my eyes now, the printed labels with unit stats would probably take up most of the bases :).

You also have to label the dice with special labels.

So in fact, loads of charts all over the place just not in the rules. . .

Never seen them, never heard of anyone playing them and they have zero kerb appeal for me, now even less.

From what I remember reading about them a couple of years ago the whole 'no charts' bit seemed to be a bit extreme and seemed to become the focus rather than the game.

Co-incidentally just found the fantasy version of these rules - and I see what you mean about the dice. 6 special dice - with complex rules on them, it would be easier to have a chart.

In Saga the special dice are cool, and do make the game quicker, but they only have 3 simple distinct symbols, and there is just 1 dice per faction. The idea of 6 complex dice per player just seems ... complicated.
