Fairly pointless in that part of Wales - the Romans sat behind solid stone walls due to revolting natives. Brilliant find though.

I don't think the Romans ever made it out here, Will.

Best I'll ever hope to find is some sort of torc....But I can't use a metal detector around Techno Towers, in case I dig up an unexploded mortar shell.

Cheers - Phil

Yeah, but they never made it into Techno Towers. Techno defended it against rotten Romans with the help of his fat menhir-carrier friend, a wizard who brewed magic potions and his little dog.

I've read all about it in proper books.

Is this possibly your sourcing?

Try this one instead. Like I say proper books. Just some Frenchman moved the story to Gaul.

The Viking had the good sense to leave it alone and come home. Then some silly so-and-so of a bard has to write it down and let the cat out the bag.

I believe some monk in a kayak made it over as well, didn't he? St Brendan the Navigator (or more properly "St Brendan's got the bloody map upside down again".) He too had the sense to only talk about it when he was off his head on mead.

Yeah, they found it was full of weapon toting sociopaths who were quite happy living life as they always had, who didn't hold with folks who worshipped weird gods and who had no truck with economic migrants coming to their shores.

No .... wait .... am I mixing up the Skraeilings and the Republicans? ;)

A fair assessment  :)

The more things change the more they stay the same.

You live and learn.....I've even been to Wolfscastle, and had a play at making a pot on an old fashioned, hand powered potter's wheel thingy..Which was great fun.  :)
