'LOA16 Scythemen'
First - welcome to the forum "51"

Let me echo the endorsement of LOA 16 - just excellent sculpts and I use them in a number of applications.
No worries - most of us don't know the whole Pendraken range and they add thins at a prodigious rate.
I keep discovering new things to get into and spend money on (wait! Is this some covert purpose of the forum?  :D)

Incidentally "fsn" is widely thought to be a semi-alliteration of the term "ForceS of Nature" but other theories have been proposed.

No, Guy. ;)

fsn's (made up) name is Frederick Simeon Nobbs, which is why I call him "Nobby".

Cheers - Phil.

"Never ask a man if he comes from Yorkshire: if he does, he'll tell you. If not, why humiliate him?"

Though I'm an 'in-comer' , having moved here 3 years ago and don't yet own a whippet and a pigeon loft, though I've got a flat cap somewhere.

I lived in Yorkshire for four years in my teens.

I remember the family who ran a local shop being described as in-comers because "they in't been here nobbut fifty year." You may have plenty of time to acquire the pigeon loft and whippet! :)

Indeed - I have tracked this down this denouement  - and yet it still has an element of theory to it!
although, I will admit,  fsn's reaction added a certain validation.
Given this I may be inclined to refer to His Lordship as "Nobby" in future!  =)

I quite like Yorkshire, at least the bits I have seen. Whilst working in Sheffield -a nice place by the way- I found out to my disgust that the tea strainer is not an object that Sheffielders(?) and maybe by association the rest of the Yorkshires are acquainted with. A gobful of tea leaves was not my idea of a perfect start to the day!

Rimmer: "Well, we didn't use it all, Lister. Who did?"

Sorry - inarticulate even for me - should read " I have tracked down this denouement"
I do this for future social historians who will undoubtedly study this forum as a key to many mysteries.

Welcome Simon,

You will have already availed yourself of some of the insanity of this forum.

A couple of points to note.

FSN, Alias Nobby also "Loird Oik of Runcorn" is slightly less sane than most on this forum.  Just imagine him as a mad but loveable dog.  Totally harmless, leaves wet patches where you don't want them and a tendancy to "Hump peoples legs"   :)

A good friend (and Yorkshire man) said to me that the definition of true Yorkshire man was "A Scotsman with all the generosity taken out"  ;D  I did not believe him as he was a generous fellow, as are the guys at Pendraken.  However the bits about Ferrets, pidgins, and whippets are all correct. So you have been warned.

Many on this forum are retired and consequently have loads of time for things.  Some claim to work although the level of this is in question as most of them are on this forum most of the time
