Pretty decent story telling based on actual events and how they influenced Melville to write 'Moby Dick'
(Although you probably already know that). The action sequences are well done and overall the movie is well worth seeing.
My slight disappointment was that the ship details and other general "look and feel" stuff were not, IMHO, up to the standards
of Master and Commander.
Encumbered by Idjits, we pressed on

Yep, good story, well told. Even if you know your stuff, and lets face it most of the audience won't, there's nothing that jars badly enough to interfere with the enjoyment of the film.

Well worth seeing, IMHO.

Hi

Totally agree about the remake bit.

Looks like they had a brainstorming session when writing the story and the director said okay what does everyone like about the original trilogy , so we'll just put that all in one film.

Still loved it though.

Orcs

Saw this today with my daughter.  Good film, worth waching and better than the second three.

Tawa

I loved it apart from the meagre role played by Phasma.

However, I'm taking the angle that Ep.VII is merely "introducing" her before VIII & IX hit.  :D
Well that went down like a lead baboon......

You're casting the next Star Wars film! And still have the time to make all those little soldiers? Can we all have bit parts? Sort of Storm-Trooper Dad's Army? Techno could, of course be an understudy for C3 P0 - but a bit rusty, and FK could be Darth Aztec swinging obsidian light sabres, and Westmarcher is a shoo-in as son of Jar-Jar Binks!
