Bored this morning,
So I decided to start assembling my 'other' Dragon men army, using Barbarian's lovely Evil Men project.
The Medieval fantasy types I painted last year wil become my 'Blue and White' faction, while the Evil Men will be a more corrupt Dragonmen race (and when Techno finishes his version, I'm sure a third state will arise)!
Assembled so far:

I want to see paint on these.
On a side note, I'd have fit them squared on the bases. (I mean in organised units)
But that is a matter of tastes I guess.

I really like the massed look of these bases give 8).

The 'blue and whites' are very linear in their formations, I wanted these to be more 'chaotic ' without being truely 'chaotic'!
It's difficult to be Chaotic without the taint of GW colour schemes (thinking green and black and grey fur with gunmetal steel), but too Nur**e!
I may paint the amazing dragon Yann sculpted first and then base the army on its colours... But something black, slimy and oozing is coming to mind at the moment.

Finally making some progress on the first half-dozen stands. They've been in the house in the main'to-do' heap since December!  :P
Just the other two-dozen stands to start now... And I have released I'm still one stand short of a minimum, legal army at the moment!!!!  ~X(

Finally, got them underway! Watch the apostrophe
Dragonmen Evil Men by Barbarian

The idea of the army that has been fermenting in my mind as I painted was this:
Once a fair and prosperous nation, ruled over by a beneficent green queen Dragon, over the centuries, her influence has spread throughout every corner of her land. However, as she has aged and faded, her sight started to fail, and her kingdom degraded from a bountiful place to a realm in ruin. Brackish marshes encroach onto once fertile farming lands, crops rot as they grow, fruit perishes on the trees. The baronies, so enthralled to her Imperial Majesty, have declined in power, and fail to notice their own decline. To survive, many barons have fallen into raiding neighbouring realms...

The Force

Her Imperial Majesty, with her guide

Baron (Bario Viridia)

Conclave of Mages

Tried to show lines of power running through the ground, it worked, kind of...

Warriors

Foot Knights/Heavy Warriors

There's a stand of Pendraken Renagade Elves, who are going to be foot Borderers, and then two more heavy foot and a stand of knights up next.

O Dinas Powys

Sick Man! (As I believe the Young People say!)  ;)

Who's the bloke on the spike is he part of Barbarian's happy horde?

Cheers!

(I know, even though it's fantasy  :o  ;)  )

I've been watching it for much of the evening but so far nothing has happened.

Great looking bases, by the way! Seeing a great hulking dragon gets me fired up for GoT to start season 7!
Encumbered by Idjits, we pressed on
