Will. you are missing out on an absolutely massive amount of information at a bargain basement price. Contact the following by post (I kid you not):

Ralph Weaver

There is also an email address  ralphcws@hotmail.com

The society produces a quarterly journal, The Foreign Correspondent (since about issue 20 featuring a colour picture of a uniform as the cover). A very large proportion of the articles cover The FPW and APW wars, but also many others are covered, some quite obscure but nevertheless very interesting. In one of the early issues I discovered an article on the Rolf Krake from 1864 and an article on armoured trains used in the siege of Paris.

Subscription is £8 per year for hardcopy or £6 per year for a downloadable pdf copy. For the bargain price of £6 you can get a CD of the first 69 issues and the society produces some very nice little A5 booklets on subjects such as the battle of Montebello  and the Bavarian Army in the 1866 campaign. It is a must for the likes of us.

I entirely, 100%, endorse what Leman has just said. It is incredible value for money, and the CD is invaluable.

I have had trouble getting into contact with Mr. Weaver. A very nice person, but I had trouble getting him on the web.. You might want to also contact Mr. Robert Burke, the US representative. This is how I got my subscription.
