Hi

Can someone please point me in the direction of an idiots guide to uploading photos, preferably into the body of a post.

Many thanks

Paul

Ok I know the problem, its the board software, I dont know why it fails.

There is a solution though, go here http://photobucket.com/ and open a free account. Then just upload your piccys there and just link then in the forum. Also has the good effect of cutting down the storage being used on the website.

Ok step by step here's how

On the blue bar there's a Join Now link, click it

bash in a username and a password (password twice)

type in your personal details

thats it, your ready to upload piccies

here's one I uploaded

try that

Hi,

Attachments should be fixed now. I don't really use that feature, so this topic was the first I'd heard of it!

You can have a max of 2 attachments per post and each attachment can be no bigger than 128 KB.

I agree with GordonY though.  8) The best way is to use Photobucket or Flickr and to add the pic to your posts using img tags

E.g.

Thanks,

Many thanks for the (as usual) helpful and friendly advice about posting photos.

I have just finished my first game using the Seven Years War figures that it feels like I have been painting forever anyway here is a link to some photos (fingers crossed and hope it works):

Very nice figures, and excellent terrain.  The pontoon bridge is nothing short of brilliant -- is it a scratch build?

T13A

Thanks and yes the pontoon bridge is scratch built. Balsa wood and card I think it took about a hour to knock up. I'm not sure what 18thC pontoons actually looked like so based them on ACW ones.

Excellent, now that look is why I love 10mm, a battle that looks like a battle, not a punch up with some yobs.  :D

Just checking but I believe that this boards software allows the use of [ img] [ /img] tags, which is fine for directly showing off your piccies

Oh and ignore the space between the [ and the 1st char, thats just there to let the tag show.

Maybe I shouldnt have used that pic, just shows off how horrible my painting actually is.  :'(

And who are those red-coated horsemen?

And your painting is far better than mine.
