Uploading photos

Can someone please point me in the direction of an idiots guide to uploading photos, preferably into the body of a post.

Ok I know the problem, its the board software, I dont know why it fails.

There is a solution though, go here http://photobucket.com/ and open a free account. Then just upload your piccys there and just link then in the forum. Also has the good effect of cutting down the storage being used on the website.

Ok step by step here's how

On the blue bar there's a Join Now link, click it

bash in a username and a password (password twice)

type in your personal details

thats it, your ready to upload piccies

Hi,

Attachments should be fixed now. I don't really use that feature, so this topic was the first I'd heard of it!

You can have a max of 2 attachments per post and each attachment can be no bigger than 128 KB.

I agree with GordonY though.  The best way is to use Photobucket or Flickr and to add the pic to your posts using img tags

E.g.

Very nice figures, and excellent terrain.  The pontoon bridge is nothing short of brilliant -- is it a scratch build?

Thanks and yes the pontoon bridge is scratch built. Balsa wood and card I think it took about a hour to knock up. I'm not sure what 18thC pontoons actually looked like so based them on ACW ones.

Just checking but I believe that this boards software allows the use of [ img] [ /img] tags, which is fine for directly showing off your piccies



Oh and ignore the space between the [ and the 1st char, thats just there to let the tag show.
