Waterloo archeological dig

Amazingly, the first official archaeological (yes, you can spell it that way too) dig on the Waterloo battlefield is currently taking place. So I heard from a TV report on the BBC this morning. Saw a report on the lunchtime news on the Beeb. Looks like Hougemont is getting a restoration makeover and they are ferreting around near the gates. A bit like Time Team goes international.

Yes, I saw that on Breakfast. Tony Pollard, one of the two men in a trench, is in charge of things. Hopefully a full-scale programme will follow.
