I had the gun emplacement assault set as a kid, decided to finally paint it up now 

All these years left untouched and it actually only took 2 hours from start to finish!

Though I certainly collected the Airfix 'armies', I never bothered with many of the kits, so this is a 'new' one to me.

Yep you are spot on and thats the one I got many years ago, hadn't seen this in donkeys so a wee bit confused but it was a cracking kit.

This , the pontoon bridge and Le Haye Sainte were the mainstays of many a WW2 battle , with the occasional Bellona Barbarian fort , Sherwood Castle and a Roman marching fort used as well

We used one in our last blitzkrieg commander game, looks gigantic next to 10mm, but was nevertheless great!

I remember at the Penarth Club assaulting one of the big two gun turreted Atlantic wall ones in preparation for the Soviet strike into Denmark Great pieces the lot.

I'm now thinking a pontoon bridge would be really handy, for, errr, stuff...
