All,

I played a monster dogfighting game this past Sunday: eight Spitfires vs eight Me-109s, four hours, 109 pictures, a lot of fun, but I'm worn out!

The report is very long, and I apologize for that, but I put quite a few insights into the rules in there.


And things got a little crazy...

Agreed. Whilst we all love to see giant battles with hundreds, thousands of minis on the table, etc., (which must take years to paint), its so beguiling and attractive to see how you can still have great fun with a few miniatures within a relatively short time and with relatively little effort.
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

Than you gentlemen, I appreciate the kind words and glad you enjoyed it.

It is refreshing that all I have to do to set up the table is throw out a sheet and pull out a few airplanes ;)

Knowing I was going to post the batrep here, I was a bit afraid prior to playing it out  :( :(

Given the heavy UK influence here in Pendraken-land, what was I going to do if the Luftwaffe had a better day than they did  :P :P

In any case, it all turned out right, and so hopefully all my Brit compatriots enjoyed watching Me-109s go down in flames under the rattle of Spitfire machine guns  :D :D  (**With respect, of course, to any Germans, it's just a game gentlemen).

I had a really good time and I'm looking forward to my next game, hopefully this weekend, likely USN vs IJA over/around/near Guadalcanal.

I also received a sack of Pendraken goodies, so I now have in my possession everything I need for KG Klink's Fall of France campaign, now I just need to get it painted and based...

Very interesting game. By the looks of it the rules seem to be your own creation with some 5Core influence. What a great idea,

Good game, nice batrep and no need to worry about British reactions to a German victory, we're well past all that!

Apparently so, Shepherd Neame were accused of being racist but were cleared by the advertising watchdog

Shecky - Yes Sir, this is part of the 5Core family, so the activation roll, firing dice, and combat effects are all derived from there.

Ithoriel - You guys are killing me!  'Spitfire,' and 'Sink the Bismark' beer, eh? Fantastic!

Ronan - Take a look when you get a chance, and let me know what you think.

Getagrip - "4 hours with 6 minis ; lesson for us all I think." Not quite that bad, 16 minis.  I'm gald you're liking it, and I'll look to get another game in this weekend.
