Kitty's heard of ABBA ?  :o :o :o :o
Would have thought they were a bit too 'heavy' for him.

In the same sense that the Panthers had heard of the KKK.

You're french Tonton, where are you ? Don't tell me you're in Montauban  ;) ( I must explain : in the famous french movie "les tontons flingueurs" the first character came from the city Montauban. )

Hello Ronan,

Yes I'm French but I don't live in Montauban. I'm much more near Great Britain than of Montauban  :)
This movie you saw it in France?

I live in Belfast and I think I am closer to Nantes than Montauban is  :D
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Fenton

I am 90% sure I have been to Maubeuge or at least driven through it

Hello Fenton,
Maubeuge is a fortified city. The architecture of the houses of the city center is not very attractive because the city was bombarded between 1944 and 1945 and the reconstruction was not a success.
Fortunately people are nice.... :-bd

Synchronicity!

A couple of weekends ago we played a 2mm scale WW1 game in which I and my fellow "German" players had to take Maubeuge before the BEF retreated from it. At the end of the game we discovered the BEF were never there! After taking fairly heavy casualties we eventually took the city by wheeling up the heavy and super-heavy artillery and blasting it flat.

Oops! City Centre? My bad!  :)

Synchronicity!

Oops! Centre de la ville? Ma faute! :)

Hello Ithoriel,
French and German 1914 fought for the city of Maubeuge. German had many death because of the forts which surrounded the city. In 1940 German wanted to destroy the city not to repeat the history(1914). The allies ended the work between 1944 and 1945 to destroy the station.
I hope that you with understood what I wrote with my small level of English
