Quite possibly, but then again my taste in music takes eclectic to another level. I enjoy English Folk, Mongolian throat whistling, classical of most types although opera stretches my interest a bit, heavy rock, Glamrock (my formative years style), electronic a la OMD, Human League and Kraftwerk and most other types except for C&W (hokput!), jazz and most types of Eastern European accordion music.

Symphonies 1, 2 and 4 are not that well known and he was still finding his symphonic feet by trying out different melodies as it were, 3, 5, 6 are good but are too well known, 9 exudes power and is strong in all four movements but for me it's a coin toss on 7 or 8. I like both but the 8th just clinches it. In saying that I do like the electronic version of the 9th used in the Clockwork Orange.

Agree on the 7th, but you can't beat the choral 9th.

I'm like earlier stuff - Vivaldi, Bach and Purcell - preferably with original tuning.

Having said that my iPod has just about everything on it (including C&W!) except punk and shouty metal.

My pleasures.

Cheese, all types. Spent the last 55+ years trying to find one I don't like and so far only come across one -haloumi- and that's because it makes my teeth squeak. (Involuntary shudder.)

Only ever found one cheese I didn't like - Geitost.  Norwegian brown cheese. Looks a bit like Caramac bars and tastes a bit like a cheesy version of Caramac which isn't a tenth as nice as it sounds.

When I tried it, Mrs V said I had a look on my face like I'd been betrayed by an old friend.
Old enough to know better

They cook the milk to caramelise it, and yep, it tastes like cheesy caramac  :-&

Cubes of Gjeitost, grapes, celery and cubes of crusty white bread, a drinkable white wine and a summer afternoon out in the sun. Bliss.

Organ music isn't to everyone's taste (so trolls may as well save the trouble of repeating variations on "I don't understand it, so it's crap"), but it's the only real music that I can go on listening to for hours on end without getting worn out.
I don't drink coffee to wake up. I wake up to drink coffee.

That's the only cheese I can't stomach; too damned sweet.

A large cappuccino down at the local coffee emporium, along with a good book and a cheese melt if I'm feeling really bad.

I like sherry (the old lady type) which is weird because I don't particularly like sweet foods.

Nope, but it kind of proves the point that provided you can communicate your ideas, it's just not that important. :)
