New Orleans Jazz, especially if played at 78 rpm.

Jazz isn't a guilty pleasure. Never trust anyone who claims to love classical but doesn't like jazz. Or vice versa.
I don't drink coffee to wake up. I wake up to drink coffee.

Sort of agree M. Kitty. Jazz is a very broad church, under which shelter Jamie Cullum, Winton Marsalis, Ella Fitzgerald and Chris Barber.

I like jazz and classical - but I don't like all jazz, nor do I like all classical.

We may be in agreement on this.

Agreed that jazz isn't a guilty pleasure ... it's a war crime  >:(

Don't they all. .  ;)

Matildas are my guilty pleasure, all scales.

Duke Speedy of Leighton

It's a good book, the film was okay, the Tim MInchen musical is outstanding...

Oh, not THAT Matilda then?

That's because you are missing the point and listening to MODERN jazz! :P

#FK. Trad Jazz is music to slit your wrists to, Big Band style jazz is okay but a la Spike Jones is even better. Not a great lover of jazz full stop.

#fsn & ianrs54, agreed, sometimes laments on pipes sound like cats being strangled but this is the sort of occasion that pipes were invented for.

On a more modern theme this is decent pipe music.

My pleasures.

Cheese, all types. Spent the last 55+ years trying to find one I don't like and so far only come across one -haloumi- and that's because it makes my teeth squeak. (Involuntary shudder.)

Beethoven. 8th Symphony and 5th Piano Concerto in particular. I also like other classical music but mainly Beethoven.

A decent cup of tea with a large slice of fruit cake.

A sunny day, sitting in the garden with a wedge of brie or camambert, a glass (or two) of red wine and a good book. Heaven.

A good Indian meal.

Wargaming: Mongols all scales up to 25mm. (actually I don't really think  that is a guilty pleasure, after all , everyone knows about it.)

Waking up every morning and thinking, yep, I'm still here.  :)

You realise most music-lovers would recommend you be committed for psychiatric observation if they heard you select Beethoven's 8th symphony as your first choice? I'm not saying you're wrong, just noting the unusual selection.
