Wow, just love that ship (and the rest of the diorama of course!). Sadly no way to use it in any games :(.

Very very impressive

What figures did you use for the US troops?

I have been pondering this period in the Philippines as a possible project for a while

Hello paulr

The military figures look like a mix of WW1 German East African sailors and SCW Andalusian militia and cavalry http://www.pendraken.co.uk/Inter-War-c18/SCW-Militia-Andaluz-sc189/

Some painted from Nik

Excellent work, but Ian is right - what happened to her paintwork?

Lovely stuff, as ever!

I'm in awe.

MediumAL

Those are very nice indeed.
Would any of those train models be suitable for ww1 East Africa? If so, would you be so kind as to tell me where you got them from?

Alan

GrumpyOldMan

Hello MediumAL

Most of the trains used in these excellent dioramas come from the Del Prado range of 1/160 static models. I don't think any of them are specifically from East Africa but the 2 I'd choose as likely candidates would be:-

Claud Hamilton 2-2-0 - 1900

Class C50 - 1929

(A bit later and Japanese but it looks right)

Available from here http://www.amercom-hobby.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=63 or from eBay.

There's also this one (French and 1854):-

You can see these ones in the dioramas.

Cheers
