Cheers...

Basically 12 bases...6 spears, 6 crossbows and the command stands with the flags.
Should be all painted by the weekend. Then not sure whether Mongols or the Sudan additions...but as you hinted so subtly...probably some Mongols  :D

What! How can you even think of painting anything else after you have everybody waiting. C'mon, we've been good (ish).

You really DO love Mongols don't you :)
Buy plenty of Matron's sculpts now!

If he keeps using the chainsaw, the value of his work will soon go up.

You think? I didn't really think it was that noticeable.  :D

I am frightened that I will do something wrong and I will be chastised :)

a bit of help required...  I was going to mix all the poses on a base e.g. lights with bows spears etc... or should I separate them into bow armed spear armed???? :-\
Sometimes I wonder - why is that frisbee geting bigger - and then it hits me!

No such worries for me as mine are being used for fantasy so I can't get it "wrong".  ;)

We tend not to do chastise on this forum. I'm sure Subedai would be only too willing to help if you pm him.

Very true; has to be the most "gentlemanly" (no offence to our lady member) forum there is. ;)

I'm assuming Marie is female, but what about Paint it Pink?

Bet you can!  :P
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

No problem at all. If  can help I will.

When I was a runtling, cutting my wargaming teeth as it were, the circle of knowledge amongst some wargamers was more of a sacrosanct nature, as in 'I did all the legwork, you can do the same...it'll make a wargamer of you, lad' sort of attitude. I do not share that opinion. With the wealth of knowledge that has already been shared over a whole range of topics on the forum, I would recommend here rather than PM...unless it's more of a personal nature then I would suggest either an Agony Aunt or the Samaritans.  :D

Even though I would mix the poses and use the occasional spearman, in the main I would stick to bows. However, you could  also throw in the odd medium armoured figure as well for variety. The ratio of spears to bows amongst the lighter types is unknown but personally, I would think that while everybody carried a bow, the number of spears would not be great so I would limit them to the heavier, shock types.
