They look good Peter. Though they may be verging on desert yellow rather than banana.

They are more 'banana on the edge of going brown' type yellow

Nice Mr Leon sent me lots of circular bases, so I have been sticking various small tanks on them.

And even got a bit of grey paint on some more Rhinos, these ones for the Squats.

Its a shame in game terms the Rhino is a bit of a liability, as I do quite like the little plastic models.

Squats!
My word!
Thought the Evil Empire had banned them in the late 80s!
Got any photos?

Wich army do those rhinos at the back belong to?

(sorry, somebody had to ask  ;D)

Tiberius

Those Rhinos look great!  Someday I will get into Epic, but probably not anytime too soon.

Looking good, Forbes !  8)

Squats seem to still exist in the Epic world. I don't have any infantry painted up yet.

The Rhinos at the back are either for Warband Taurians or KoW Herd

If you wait too long to get into Epic you'll be paying a fortune on ebay for rare antiques.

It seems I have rather more painted "banana marines" than I remembered.

Dug them out of various boxes and plan to amalgamate them into one steel box along with the "Sons of Thunder" Titan Legion shown here and the Imperial Guard armour and artillery units I have.

Still haven't unearthed the painted Eldar I know I have somewhere. #firstworldproblems :)

Yep, this can be a problem. But there are also some bargains around. I picked up plenty of squat infantry and guns for £6. But the war engines are much more expensive. There are a few third party suppliers around, but 6mm Sci Fi can be quite expensive compared to 10mm historicals.

Not a bad bunch, I'm sure they can approach in formation, then peel off to the flanks.

I got a lot of my stuff second hand from the tactical command forum, they have a nice marketplace!

http://www.tacticalwargames.net/taccmd/viewforum.php?f=58&sid=81afcefb674a8187359a2f472dfaa219

I also bought a massive ork army of ebay, if you see what the stuff goes for per piece, it's often better to buy big lots. The price seems excessive, but if you start counting you'll pay way more when you hunt them down separately! (and you only have to pay shipping once)

This is my ork army in it's half painted glory:

And the yellow marines and their unpainted brothers:

After a bit more of a gap - in which a bit of painting of Space Marines has been done, and more buying of Epic Squats has occurred. I have got back to some 10mm stuff.

I received the Irregular Wars - Wargaming at the World's End rules for Christmas - and they have inspired me to put together some armies for this - at least initially using existing stuff. The game covers the 16th to mid 17th centuries - and is particularly focused on small to medium sized actions, especially around the areas the Europeans were expanding into. There are nearly 50 army lists with the rules, covering pretty much all continents.

I have cleaned up a few more Mongols to allow me to round out a Steppe Khanate force - and will hopefully get them sprayed tomorrow.

I am also putting together some figures for an early Imperialist force (aka Holy Roman Empire) - using my existing WM Empire figures - and this handily means that the Warmonger Arquebusiers I sprayed a few weeks ago, will do very nicely for the shot armed troops.

I am going for a more historical mix of colours, rather than the uniform style I have used on the fantasy units.

I can't decide about basing for these figures, Irregular Wars uses 40mm square bases. But I feel that if I base that way, then I will loose some of the multi-rule use by going with 40x20mm bases. The advantage of 40mm squares is that there is more room to make a bit of a diorama, and the figures don't look quite so cramped.
