Frostgrave

On Friday we played a 3 player Frostgrave game. It was only our second game but things seemed to flow pretty well, and much fun was had

Frostgrave is proving fun. It's best not to take it too seriously as due to being heavily based on opposed d20 rolls you can get quite dramatic results.

But it does generally play well. And we are getting lots of old figures on the table. I've got some of the official figures but they are taking a lot of painting.

An almost imperceptible drybrush of very dark brown over the black, Forbes ?

Might give that a try. Went with a dry brush of dark grey, which is probably imperceptible!

The black could do with toning down a touch I think.

Spiders

A few more shades added to these - a black wash on the legs, a dark brown dry brush all over, and a bit of scarlet on the knees to lift them back.



An I suspect they look much like they did in the earlier photo  

Zweihanders
Added some blue and white to the first strip - I'd forgotten just how much detail there is on these figures - lots of stuff to paint, lots of decisions to make about what to paint what colour too.


With a new photo technique of tilting the painting strip back at 45º to get some good light on the figures.

Excellent, Forbes ! 

For me......The extra red on the knees, is 'lifting' the arachnids. Like those lots !
The Zweihanders look belting.
New photo technique works really well. (Though I've always thought your pictures were pretty spiffy, anyway.)
