If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Lovely models and a great use of brass etching. Rather pricey though :(.

No they only buy it once!. They decide on a single period and a single scale. When they have filled out thier layout thats it.
Years ago at the Halton Model show there wasa delightful North African layout. It was 4 x2 feet with a single line.  4 of 5 buldings as a village with a market and  alow relief fort. He had converted the train that had 8  carridges/wagons.  He freely admitted it had taken hin 6 years to complete.

So If you imagined over 6 years you would by 8 buildings, 50 figures and 10 vehicles, I think you would find you could afford these prices without any issues.

I guess I could... but then what about the other seventeen half done railway layouts I'd have in the loft?!

Wait, what? ONE period and scale? No, sorry, you lost me...

I received my Pendraken competition Price : A Severn Building.

It is a luxury item, really clean. I don't even know if it isn't too much for wargaming, I feel it is more a Rail road item.

Maybe consider having these building in one piece resin ?

Good to hear it arrived safely, the buildings are very detailed and I think they are more designed for the railway guys.

Railway layouts can be pretty, but I don't get it; the little trains go round and round, and then you go and have some coffee. I think we have the more attractive hobby.
I don't drink coffee to wake up. I wake up to drink coffee.

As the Timecast boys say:
Railway enthusiasm arrive at trade show with a budget, and want to spend it on the best quality stuff!

Rare to see a poor railway scratch build!

I used the plywood that comes with the sheet as a protection to base the building.
