Thanks for that, Grumps. It seems to be mainly an American thing - I've never seen them at the dollshouse shows my wife drags me around and, whilst I do scratch-build buildings from time to time, I don't bother to furnish them.
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Ah but think of the barricades with extra points for having a grand piano included  :D :D.

I believe from delving into their ephemera that the 1/144 stuff started as dolls houses within larger scale doll houses  :D

Techno

Do they make the 'dolls' to go with the furniture ?
Perhaps I should offer.  ;)

From what I've seen the only figures inhabiting the 1/144 dolls houses are (rarely) the naff Chinese 1/150 railway figures (without repainting). Seems the house and the furniture are the thing, just as the railways take attention away from lame scenic items in railway layouts.

Were you thinking of a Nanny with Tommy Gun figure?  :D Or perhaps a chimney sweep with RPG  :D

Cheers

Ah, but then I'd need Liberace and a candelabra to finish it off.  :D
