Pictures of recent play-test of "Home Before the Leaves Fall" early WWI corps level battles with Pendraken figures (of course).

Battle fought in mining district in Belgium in August 1914. Resulted in a German win with 3,000 losses v 5,500 French losses(1,500 pows)

Lovely stuff Bernie, thanks for posting that.

Tempted more by late war stuff - probably just as well for my bank balance. Possibly a couple of years to save up :-)

Fantastic looking game. Your stuff always inspires me!!!

Leman

Lovely looking game and remarkably good terrain. I find very early and very late WWI the most compelling to game, probably because of the opportunities for manouevre. (Can't spell it!)

Nice terrain and nice figures. Now, that's what a wargame should look like!

Got to say that those are rather nice! Great stuff.
Rimmer: "Aliens."

Lister: "Oh God, aliens... Your explanation for anything slightly peculiar is aliens, isn't it?

Rimmer: "Well, we didn't use it all, Lister. Who did?"

Lister: "Rimmer, aliens used our bog roll?"

Subedai

Nicely painted little chaps, the terrain pieces are fantastic -love the artillery bursts, spot on with them; but the stand out thing for me is the industrial building complexes -great setting and well painted. Puts some larger scale games to shame. First rate stuff.

Get thee behind me Bernie!  ;D

Very nice stuff indeed. Very tempting.

I have WW2 Germans to finish, WW2 Russians to start and 6mm Sumerian armies to complete before I start WW1!!

Excellent, Bernie. I love the factory complex - first class.

Very nice...What rules were you using?
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

Hi Ithoriel

Yep WWII Eastern Front is an ever just out of reach period for me. I have painted and based enough Soviets to sink the proverbial Sverdlov cruiser, but just cannot get in the right mood to paint all the Germans. It will be done one-day - perhaps topic for next year?

Bernie

Hi Fenton

It is for a set of rules that is provisionally called "Home Before the Leaves Fall" for 10mm as part of our range of 10mm rules.

Firmly set as corps on corps with big ground scale 10" = 2km to allow for approach march, reserves to be deployed and for artillery not to be unlimited range on the game table.

The terrain - the mines and industrial complexes were made by Keith Warren of Realistic Modelling
