has anyone played the game
I sold my copy as it looked unbelievable complex but I could be wrong
it is a magnificent piece of work and the artwork is the best ive seen since Mcbride for atmosphere
I did put my pendraken polish army on ebay but it didn't sell suggesting it isn't a big area in 10mm
shame as the figures by pendraken are excellent

FierceKitty

Well, my Polish army sees a lot of action here. Consensus is that it murders Turks, Muscovites, and Cossacks, but has trouble against Swedes.

thanks
I have heard that the poles are too good against cavalry based armies
the new kickstarter has some great artwork too
I don't like the 15mm figs which go with the game but I have a friend who really does

OldenBUA

Yes, I've played the game (a lot) since I did the Kickstarter, and picked up my rulebook in Poland. Maybe the game is not as complex as you might think, it depends on what you are used to.

There's more in this thread:

It should be noted that FK uses his own rules, not BFaS. But yes, in BFaS, the Poles are pretty good too. But they have to be, as they almost constantly had to fight all the others!

I'm currently working on a Polish (and Swedish) army in 10mm. They are very lovely figures, but progress has been a lot slower that I would have liked.

I guess I will have to get an army to fight the poles unless I can offload them
I have an old set of adaptations of wab published from down under which I may use
I have tried to get sienkiewjiez but it is hard going and harder to get hold of
a fascinating period and one which deserves to be better known
thanks for the responses I realised my last post was loa not wss with regard to the new figures
holiday mode!!

FierceKitty

True about my own rules, but we spent several years using the dreaded DBR. Same opinion prevailed there.

There must be a few people playing them as we had a surge of orders for that period when the rules were released.

The Croat mounted arquebusier is a tad smaller than the new ECW, and a tad larger than the old ECW.

Yep - and they're still in the box they landed in  :(

Definitely going to get to these this year though...
