Hi all

I've already posted a topic and had some hello's. but I thought I would introduce myself properly, I live in essex and really enjoy my historical gaming. I have to admit I am new to 10mm scale, but after becoming a dad my time is very limited and wanted a scale that I could paint up quick while keeping an lot of detail  so I took the plunge with 10mm.
I made a large purchase of pendraken's FPW range at salute and have never looked back. I've been very impressed with pendraken's minis very high quality with plenty of detail to keep the painter in me happy and great value for money.
Not only is it my first venture into 10mm, but is my first venture into late 19th century warfare and have really enjoyed researching the FPW, I have painted up most of my french
army and will get some pictures up soon.

Welcome sentiment duly echoed. Which part of Essex are you in? I only ask because I'm originally from Westcliff (reputed to be the posh bit of Southend but probably only since I left.)  ;)

Hi, Martin, welcome to the forum. Which part of Essex do you hail from? We're just over the border in east Herts.
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Hello Martin. Yes, it is a really nice scale, look forward to seeing your units and your views on rules etc.

Leman

Welcome Martin; I'm another keen later C19th gamer, currently working on German troops for Froeschwiller and recently converted to the big base representing a regiment way of thinking. This way I can play a large battle on a 6x4 in around 2-3 hours and it doesn't break the bank. Post if you need any info. As Mad Lemmy said, there are a good few very knowledgable folk on the forum.
