Well the the wind dropped this afternoon and NO "Afternoon rain" 

I have finally got the Guards varnished so they are available for the next game 

I even had a change to take some quick pictures...

I have been making really good progress on the Maryland Continental Brigade only hats, bags, belts, boots and facings left to do

I had been listening to music while I painted, then I remembered a comment by Techno, I think, about listening to audio books. So I spent some time while painting learning the correct pronunciation of my 74 Japanese WWII ships Lots of repetition seems to help 

A colleague at work has a lovely Japanese wife and she very kindly recorded them for me, the joys of knowing a wargamer

Made good progess again yesterday on the Maryland Continental Brigade only belts, highlights on face and hands, and touch ups left to do

Progress will be slower than planned for the next three days  Been called back off leave for work

Finished painting the Maryland Continental Brigade in time to watch the live broadcast of the NZ Memorial Service from Chunuk Bair

At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them, we will remember them

Will wash the Continentals tomorrow and hopefully base them on Sunday

Patience good sir Pictures will hopefully be next weekend after they are varnished.

Weather forecast is for showers next Saturday and rain on Sunday 

With winter coming undercoating and varnishing will be more challenging to fit in.

Will hopefully get the next batch undercoated tomorrow, before the forecast "late rain", 1^st & 2^nd Battalions, 71^st Foot and Regiment von Bose

Next batch undercoated   1^st & 2^nd Battalions, 71^st Foot and Regiment von Bose. No sign of the forecast "late rain"

Still "distracted" by "If the Lord Spares Us" but managed to paint the officers horses for 71^st Foot & von Bose.

Also did some prep on the flag for the Maryland Continentals. Must try and have them ready to varnish if the weather cooprates over the weekend. Just shrubbery and flag to finish

Battle damage to Betsy Ross flag finished, will glue it on tonight and hopefully get the Maryland Continentals varnished over the weekend

Misty drizzle today so the Maryland Continentals look likely to remain unvarnished a little longer

2^nd Maryland Continental Regiment was converted from a Maryland State Regiment hence the brown coats. The majority of the officers were replaced with more experienced officers from the Maryland Continentals that were already with Greene's army, hence the blue coats
