Yes, that was what I was driving at. My German 2cm FlaK are made so that the bases will fit inside their made-to-measure emplacements. However, I think I'll go for the fixed crews for this next project.

I had a spare Pithead German artilleryman with binoculars and wanted to put him in the Pendraken Stuka Zu Fuss but he looked way too high up to be standing on the floor of the vehicle so I chopped off his feet so he looked a little less like he was levitating. Finished one base for Kohima. This will occupy Jail Hill or Garrison Hill eventually. One guess as to which terrain system it's built for.
