Nice stuff so far Lemmey but ship warfare just not my thing. The following link, and website in general, is well worth a look for camo schemes for your ships.

Tried looking at that website but all I got was a 'File not Found'. Is it just me?

Try taking the shot from a little further away, Will.
(I've no idea what the minimum distance a camera on a phone can focus......Anyone ?......3 feet ?.....4 feet ?)
Cheers - Phil

fred.

Modern camera phones can focus at very close distances - I used mine to take a photo of the number  etched into a lock the other day, from a couple of inches away. This was because it was easier to take a photo and zoom in, rather than try to read the numbers directly. Most can do barcode scanning which needs close focus too.

But most aren't great in poor light, which is what is probably causing the problems with the ship photo, so you end up with poor depth of field and camera shake.

Another  common problem with camera phones is that they tend to focus on the background rather than the miniatures. Probably because their auto focus doesn't recognise the minis.

Of course the capabilities of different phones varies hugely.
