My missus has been going on about one of those for what seems like an eternity. I just point out that if she didn't keep spending all the money I'd probably be able to afford one.

Met in October 1982, started going out January 1983.  Proposed September 1983 (over hot chocolate at her parents' house) but we only made it official with a ring in April 1985.  Married June 1986.   Still happy and she puts up with little metal figures!

I have to admit that she proposed to me - on 29th February 1992. We'd been living together for about six months so it came as something of a surprise. Took us another twelve months to organise the wedding. I blame her mother for the whole thing....

To be honest, it was quick.

We met through work, I drooled a lot and then proposed in the September, at night in her garden. I didn't want to propose in her house as Su had lived there with a previous.

I walked her out on to the dew laced lawn, knelt on one knee and as I was about to say the magic words she said "what the bloody hell are you doing my slippers are getting wet!"......ah the romance   I knew then I was never going to meet anyone quite like her!

We married in the Jan, I knew she was the one and there was no way she was escaping. 18 years on, she is still the love of my life
