Yep, woken up by the thunder storm and lightening, the latter being very impressive! Some rain for about 15 minutes, but you wouldn't have known by the time morning came. Looking forward to a frigid 22C or there abouts tomorrow!

I just opened what I thought was the latest issue of the National Trust magazine, which turned out to be from Autumn 2024 :o ! So where it has been sitting hidden from view in our local sorting office beggars belief >:( .

There was a little item on the Beeb's website the other day.....A "Mother & Baby" (I think) magazine that a father to be (for the second time) had ordered arrived 19 years late.
Both his 'youngsters' had already grown and left the family home.  ;D  ;D  ;D
I'll do this later

Very good Will ;D ! Yep, I saw the article on the magazine last week Phil, which is just unbelievable. I vaguely remember some letters of post cards being delivered many decades later, as they are still legally obliged to do so!

Back in the 1970's I spent several Christmas holidays working as a temp delivering post.

One year they were upgrading the radiators and discovered several items that had been lost down the back over the 1950's and 60's. They were all delivered

Nope, it's not the Pony Express it's the Ank-Morpork Post Office.

Perhaps Royal Mail should try delivery by golems too.  ;)
