@Blaxkleric: They are based following the old BKC standard, and will be used to play BKC II .O enjoy that one very much, and think it gives a good game without slowing much down. I will have to look into playing earlier battles too though, as i've heard from various sources that the game is even more enjoyable in those periods, when there was less heavy material.

@ Fred: wich brings me to you, i am already watching your site for the afrika models on there :p. I doubted what i was going to do when i was making my order, and in the end went for normandy 44. Being a big fan of the cruiser tanks, i wanted to do DAK and 8 army too though. When i have ordered my russkies, i'll begin looking into them ;)

So some progress on these chaps, finished the bases for my next batch of trees, finished some support and the hq and went back and changed up the camo on the shermans. I think they look much better now .

Let me know what you guys make of it ;)

Thanks all!

I personally think i overdid it on the mud on these ones, but hey, they perform recon, they shouldn't stay on roads, but out of sight in the fields  ;D

Funny that everyone works hard at muddy bases in 20th century, but nobody in wargaming history has ever bothered to do it for hoplites or ashigaru or dog soldiers. All of whom probably had to clean their boots at times too (metaphorically, before I'm overwhelmed by a load of cobblers).
I don't drink coffee to wake up. I wake up to drink coffee.

Well it is harder to get a muddy finish on a 10mm guy's foot i guess  ;D

So been a while since i updated this, all to do with the painting contest actually, as i can't post pics of my finished stuff if i want to enter it  :D

I am however making terrain at the moment, as you can't have 'little' normandy without little hedges and walls  ;)

Still work in progress , but just couldn't resist to snap some pics:

Thanks y'all ;)

some work to do , getting the bases finished. Then i have another batch as big as this one coming up!

petercooman

So these are now finished, only thing to decide is if i will do the next batch in the same sizes (10cm and 5 cm bases) Or have some longer bases in the mix (thinking 20-25cm). Suggestions?

Been a while since i posted something again, have painted a bunch of stuff, but been holding back the pics so i can still decide wich ones will go into the paintig comp  ;D

I have finished 2 universal carriers and a FAO carrier that i won't be entering though, so i will show you these, and 2 6 pounders should follow closely tomorrow evening! First pic is a bit dark, but it's too late for me to take a new one, got to be up for work in 6 and still need to grab some sleep :P (i know someone willl say sleep is overrated but still, some sleep ain't bad)

Techno

Progressing very nicely Peter !
