Let me be the first to post up my first stage of my first attempt:

The idea is to make a huge braineating cockroach with a fang to immobilize its prey (like a rhino beetle's top fang) and a long, slimey protuding nasal implement with a needle to suck out the brain.  8)

Sounds cool!  I'm wondering whether to have a go at something myself!

If I find a bit of time to have a go, I will.  I've actually been making some terrain displays this weekend, pretty basic, but I'm quite proud of them!

I'm working on a daemon chariot and crew.  I'm trying to get a flying chariot that is actually a daemon, with crew riding on the back.  I've entered in the first two crew in the official entries thread.  This is a third crew man holding the spear differently.

Like the other two crewmen, this one started with a wire armature anchored into a cork.  I posed the figure with the armature.  Then I used milliput to stiffen the armature because the thin wire is too 'bendy' to sculpt on.  Then I finish details with green stuff.

Here are the start of two chariots.

As you can see, I'm covering the millipit with a layer of greenstuff to add the details.  As I picture it, two crew will ride on the back of each of these 'chariots'.

Looking damn fine !

If you find that using green stuff directly onto the wire is a bit tricky, you might find mixing ProCreate in with the green stuff (about 50/50) gives a much softer 'medium' to work with.....Sometimes almost TOO soft at this scale, to be fair.
Takes a bit of practice, but worth it after a few attempts.

Cheers - Phil.

Thanks for the compliments!  I hope I can get more sculpting time in this weekend.

Looking good, Rudy.

I like the texture on the leg.
Life is too important to be taken seriously.
