Since I'm launching into 19th century colonials, Fuzzy-Wuzzy camel riders are of interest to me too. But it occurs to me that with a small saw and a dab of epoxy glue, the conversion should be pretty easy. I made a few elements of Japanese warrior monk cavalry that way recently, and although I resemble Michelangelo only in my versatile brilliance and my ample beard, nobody has yet spotted that they're conversions.

Yeah I agree, a sadly lacking piece of kit, need a mortar and crew ASAP.

There's nothing that says "I want you dead!" better than a battery of 3 mortars firing at you.  :o

Yeah, we had planned to fit them in with the FPW skirmishers, but we didn't have the space in that month's schedule, and then they got swallowed up by Naps and ACW's!  I've got another batch of odds and ends I'm hoping to get done either July/August, so I'll try and fit them into that.

I have gone the conversion route for my Fuzzy-Wuzzy camelry, and they work pretty well. Use the Ansar camel-rider, with the Hadendowah figure thrusting overarm with a spear for the superstructure (the other Fuzzies are possible too, but less convincing).
Of course, it's a tad more expensive, but not much. You'll presumably want only a few dozen.

I'll get a proper update sorted over the weekend for this.  On the camelry, they're still with the designer, but I'd hope to have them here pretty soon.

It could always be sooner, it all depends on when the figures land here and when we can fit them into the moulding queue.

Not sure at this stage, the Brits would be the best option saleswise, but we might continue with the 1809 lists and go with the Bavarians.
