Did anyone spot the double bed on the New Jersey?

At the 0:43 mark.

Leon, great souvenir. Living in California I don't get to the East Coast conventions and we don't have many in the West.

Cool videos.

Are you planning a TikTok career with you vertical filming?

From a UK perspective very odd to see so much snow around, with zero impact on roads and footpaths - the whole of the UK would have ground to a halt with that amount of snow!

How did the show go from your perspective? I assume from a sales perspective it was all pre-orders due to logistics?

Look forward to watching these videos. It was great to see you and sit down to have a chat with you at Cold Wars. I heard that you managed to visit Atlantic City, the place of my birth and where I grew up. Very depressing little coastal resort, I hope the experience wasn't too jarring!

I'm not sure if you've seen the LittleWarsTV episode on Cold Wars but they talk about purchasing a large collection of Pendraken in the flea market...they purchased my late medievals. I hope they get a new life with their gaming club.

Not quite!  I was told by our social media person that I needed 'portrait for short-form' and 'landscape for long-form', so I did as I was told!  In theory YouTube should be landscape but there were social media videos that I've just thrown on there for ease of viewing.

It was excellent, thoroughly enjoyed it.  The pre-orders were higher than we'd normally have for Salute, so that was a big bonus.  And with Cold Wars being about 25% the size of a Historicon, it makes the larger US show a lot more viable potentially.

Mainly though it was just nice to meet all of these folks that we've only ever conversed with via email, for nearly two decades in some cases. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming to us, and we made some nice connections with some of the other traders too.  And the whole thing was a handy experiment as to how we would approach attending Historicon, in terms of costs, stock, logistics, etc.

Nice to see you again too!  Atlantic City was fine, it was pretty cold and most of the place was shutdown, but we had a walk along the boardwalk and went into the Hard Rock to gamble $10 in a machine.  The surprising thing there was how many squirrels live on the beach!

After AC we drove down through all of the little towns to Cape May, which was really nice.  Still closed for winter, but we watched the tide bringing blocks of ice in (surreal!) and had some lunch in an Irish pub.

Glad you enjoyed your visit to South Jersey. There was quite a bit of activity in that area during the War of Independence. Lots of skirmish level action between loyalists and rebels. As you drove into Atlantic City, you passed by an exit for a sleepy town called Egg Harbor. During the AWI, it was a hub for privateers and Captain Patrick Ferguson led an amphibious raid on the town (Battle of Chestnut Neck). He then moved further inland and ambushed (with the assistance of a deserter) a rebel force under the Polish volunteer Casimir Pulaski that was sent in response to Ferguson's raid. Ferguson used cold steel and massacred the small relief force.

Cape May is a pleasant little beach town, very nice during the holidays and plenty of bed and breakfast inns. As a child, I remember my father showing me the still visible remains of the SS Atlantus. She was a concrete (yes, concrete) Liberty ship that was beached on the shore after a storm in the 1920s. There was quite a bit of u-boat activity off of Cape May and the southern NJ shore during the world wars.
